Antenat combines African polyrhythms, reggae, brass lines of afrobeat, ska energy, desert blues with the sound aesthetics of dub. The lyrics of their songs celebrate nature, freedom of spirit and invite the audience to sing.
A group of friends gathered the first line-up of the band 20 years ago in elementary school and over time profiled their own musical expression, which they called themselves – SubReggae.
