For more than 500 years, the “Following the Cross” procession has been held on the island of Hvar, which, due to its significance, tradition and continuity, has been included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
On the night of Maundy Thursday, at 10 p.m., processions from 6 churches and parishes (Jelsa, Pitve, Vrisnik, Svirče, Vrbanj and Vrboska) start.

In the town of Hvar on Maundy Thursday, there will be a Holy Mass of the Lord’s Evening at 7 pm in St. Stephen’s Cathedral
Good Friday in the town of Hvar:
3:30 p.m.: “Visiting God’s  Graves” procession
7 p.m.: rituals of the Passion and Death of the Lord (service of the word; adoration of the Cross; Holy Communion; procession with the Holy One around the town), St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
