Zakopana čuda | Multimedia Theatre Performance at Hvar Theatre
At Hvar Theatre, on April 19 at 20:00, the performance “Zakopana čuda” (Buried Wonders) will take place – a powerful multimedia theatre project exploring themes of love, memory, and illusion.
The play is based on a text by Monika Herceg, directed by Nina Violić, and stars Leon Lučev and Jelena Graovac Lučev. Through an intimate portrayal of a woman’s final moments, the performance takes the audience on an emotional and visual journey through memory, where reality and imagination merge into a unique stage experience.
The narrative unfolds across three symbolic settings – a garden, a bridge, and an apartment – shaping a story that reflects a life filled with desires, needs, and inner tensions. The piece functions as a personal love manifesto and a performative expression of freedom, enhanced by original music composed by Damir Martinović Mrle and Ivanka Mazurkijević.
The visual identity of the performance is defined by innovative use of video projections and “living images,” inspired by the work of artist Toni Soprano, transforming the stage into a dynamic, three-dimensional landscape of memory. By combining live acting, cinematic elements, and musical performance, “Zakopana čuda” blurs the boundaries between theatre and film, creating a unique live theatre-film experience.
The production is created by the artistic organization GlumacImaVremena, GlumicaImaVremena/TAHT, bringing together a team that offers a contemporary and innovative approach to theatre.
