Veteran European Cup 2026 brings international judo to Hvar
The island of Hvar will welcome veteran judokas from across Europe this September for the Veterans European Cup 2026, with part of the programme taking place in the town of Hvar.
The event brings together sport, international competition and island experiences, with activities scheduled in Hvar and Jelsa from 3 to 5 September 2026.
Opening ceremony in Hvar
The programme begins on Thursday, 3 September, with a training session at the Sports Hall in Hvar, followed by the official opening ceremony on Hvar’s main square.

Competition programme
Friday’s programme continues with accreditation, a boat ride from Jelsa, weigh-in and technical draw.
The main competition takes place on Saturday, 5 September, with eliminations, repechage, semi-finals and medal contests at Sports Hall Pelinje in Jelsa, including the Ne-Waza Competition.
The Veterans European Cup 2026 offers another opportunity to connect Hvar’s sporting calendar with an international community of athletes and visitors.
