Jeremiah’s at Veneranda | An Evening of Blues, Funk and Rock

The groove enthusiasts Jeremiah’s have been driven by the same mission since 2011 – a deep dive into the blues mantra, enriched with funk and strengthened by rock.

Originally formed as an instrumental trio from Sv. Filip i Jakov – drummer Jeremija Eškinja, bassist Luka Ćetković and guitarist Roko Vodopija – the band later expanded with Zadar-based musicians: harmonica player Frane Škara, vocalist Mirta Juran and Ante Brzić, vocalist and trumpeter.

As winners of the Croatian Blues Challenge in the band category, they performed at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, in January 2018. They are also recipients of the 14th Mega Muzika Award for Best Young Band 2017 and winners of the Croatian Music Festival (HGF) 2018.

After performing in clubs and festivals across Croatia, the band recorded their debut album in the theatre in Sv. Filip i Jakov, with part of the material also recorded in a studio near Nashville. The album features nine original songs, preserving an authentic sound through the energy of “one take” and analogue recording.

The band is currently working on their second album and has recently released the singles “Black Pony Rider”, “Alibi”, “My Love Is Gonna Hurt You” and “I Don’t Know”.
