The Stella Maris Hvar Choir is part of the music and stage association of the same name, which has been active in the town of Hvar for nearly twenty years, nurturing the island’s rich musical and cultural heritage.
The choir’s repertoire is diverse and includes film music arrangements, pop and rock songs, classical music, spirituals, Croatian and Dalmatian traditional music, folk music from various countries, as well as original compositions.
The choir currently consists of 23 singers who have been performing together in this formation for less than two years, contributing through their dedication and performances to the cultural life of Hvar.
Over the years, Stella Maris Hvar has participated in numerous international competitions and guest performances, while concerts throughout Hvar and the island remain at the heart of its artistic activity.
The audience can expect an evening of classical and baroque choral works, compositions from later musical periods, as well as original works by conductor and composer Vinka Šurlin.
The choir has released two albums and continues to enrich the cultural programme of the island of Hvar through its performances.
