The concert of the male klapa Pharia will be held at the Pjaceta location in front of the Church of the Holy Spirit, on Monday, 23.06.2025. at 21:30h.

The klapa Pharia was founded in January 2016 on the island of Hvar, driven by a love of klapa singing and togetherness. The name of the klapa comes from the ancient Roman name for the island of Hvar – Pharia, with which the members pay tribute to the rich cultural heritage of their homeland.

Although the klapa is based in Brusje, its members come from different places on the island of Hvar, which contributes to the diversity and richness of their musical expression. The klapa cultivates the original a cappella klapa expression, but also covers of songs of a spiritual and secular character, and songs with instrumental accompaniment.

Over the years, Klapa Pharia has performed at numerous concerts and events, including solo concerts in Brusje, the presentation of the book by academician Jakša Fiamenga, and klapa festivals such as “Večer od kantonja” in Stari Grad, “Susret klapa otoka Hvara” in Vrboska, and “Festival otoka klapa” in Supetar. They have also performed outside Croatia, in Slovenia, Germany, and Italy.

Klapa Pharia regularly participates in the Hvar Summer Festival, where its performances enrich the cultural offer and preserve the tradition of klapa singing on the island of Hvar.
