On Monday, August 4, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., the Church of St. John in Hvar will host the opening of the exhibition “Dear,” by artist Ana Kovačić. This exhibition, which was previously on display at the VN Gallery in Zagreb, is now coming to Hvar as part of the Hvar Summer Festival.
“Dear,” is a work that explores intimate and personal themes through a combination of photography, video, and the written word. Kovačić uses a found photo album as a starting point to create a shared narrative that includes her own experiences, as well as the experiences of other women. The exhibition addresses issues of identity, motherhood, creative work, and personal existence. Through this work, the author opens a dialogue about the female experience and its representation in art.
