As part of Hvar’s cultural heritage programme, a lecture entitled “The Battle of Lepanto” will take place on Thursday, 6 August 2026, presented by Dr Tonči Tadić.
The lecture will explore one of the most significant naval battles in European history – the Battle of Lepanto (1571) – a decisive event that shaped the balance of power in the Mediterranean and left a lasting mark on the history of the eastern Adriatic.
The programme will be held at the Hanibal Lucić Summer Residence beginning at 9:00 pm.
