As part of the Hvar Summer Festival, Jazz by the Sea will take place on 3 September at 9:00 PM, transforming Veli Đardin into the stage for an exceptional evening of music featuring renowned Croatian and international jazz artists.
The audience will enjoy a performance by the Elvis Stanić Aires Collective, led by one of Croatia’s most distinguished jazz musicians and composers, Elvis Stanić. His distinctive musical style blends jazz, Mediterranean influences and world music, creating a rich and expressive sound that has captivated audiences in Croatia and abroad for decades.
A Unique Dialogue Between Flamenco and Jazz
Special guests of the evening are Antonio Serrano and Kaele Jiménez, the acclaimed Spanish duo whose performances fuse the passion of flamenco with the freedom and creativity of contemporary jazz.
Antonio Serrano is widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest chromatic harmonica virtuosos and one of the leading figures of modern flamenco. A member of the legendary Paco de Lucía’s ensemble for ten years, Serrano has performed on prestigious stages around the world, received a Latin Grammy Award, and built an extraordinary career that seamlessly bridges flamenco, jazz, classical music, tango and other musical traditions.
Joining him is Kaele Jiménez, one of the most exciting young talents on today’s flamenco jazz scene. A self-taught pianist with remarkable improvisational skills, Kaele combines traditional flamenco roots with contemporary jazz, creating a fresh and authentic musical language that continues to impress audiences across Europe.
