Veli đardin (seaside park by the Ivan Vučetić bust) is hosting the Hvar female vocal group “Bodulke” this Friday, June 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., which will provide us with a real Dalmatian atmosphere.

The Bodulke  is a women’s vocal group from the town of Hvar founded in 2004 as a result of the gathering and socializing of young girls raised in the Christian spirit, for whom the glorification of God was joyfully expressed through song. Their regular activity is the promotion of cultural values, the improvement of musical culture, as well as the enrichment of the offer offered to visitors through various events. The Bodulke sing songs that often use the local Hvar dialect and thematize island life.

Their repertoire includes songs about the sea, love, farewells and everyday life – all imbued with the spirit of Hvar and Dalmatia. In this way, the klapa not only preserves, but also transmits local identity through generations.

The name Bodulke comes from the word boduli, which is a common name for islanders.

The group has seven members who are united by a shared love of Dalmatian song, and the group leader is Prof. Tomi Domančić.

Summer in Veli đardin brings klapa song, Dalmatian spirit and the warmth of community on the island of Hvar.

Everyone is welcome!
