We invite you to the concert of the Tijardović Chamber Orchestra, November 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Hvar Theatre!
The Dalmatian Cycle is a joint initiative of cultural institutions from Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Hvar, Vis, and Dubrovnik, creating a platform for long-term cooperation among Dalmatian cities through the exchange of ensembles, musicians, and programs. In addition to concert exchanges, the cycle aims to decentralize Croatia’s cultural life, offer year-round events beyond the summer season, develop audiences – especially among children and youth – and strengthen the capacities of local ensembles. The participating partners, with their experience, infrastructure, and tradition, ensure high-quality and sustainable concert activity while connecting cities and laying the foundation for a long-term cultural network.
The Tijardović Chamber Orchestra is a newly established ensemble (2024) in Split, founded by a group of music enthusiasts, primarily led by Vanesa Kleve, director of the Croatian Home Split. The orchestra is conducted by Hari Zlodre, with support from numerous Split-based soloists and guest musicians.
The name Ivo Tijardović embodies the idea of diverse artistic activities that the orchestra seeks to pursue. It is not only a tribute to the great Split composer but also a symbol of the new ensemble’s ambitions.
