We invite you to the concert on October 29 (Wednesday), at 8:00 p.m., at the Hvar Theatre, as part of the Dalmatian Cycle.
The Dalmatian Cycle is a joint initiative of cultural institutions from Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Hvar, Vis, and Dubrovnik, creating a platform for long-term cooperation among Dalmatian cities through the exchange of ensembles, musicians, and programs. In addition to concert exchanges, the cycle aims to decentralize Croatia’s cultural life, offer year-round events beyond the summer season, develop audiences – especially among children and youth – and strengthen the capacities of local ensembles.
The participating partners, with their experience, infrastructure, and tradition, ensure high-quality and sustainable concert activity, while the project connects cities and builds the foundation for a long-term cultural network.
The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (DSO) has been active continuously since 1924. Over the decades, it has evolved from a semi-professional organization into a professional ensemble dedicated to performing works from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods.
The orchestra performs in prestigious venues across Dubrovnik – such as the Rector’s Palace, city churches, and squares – as well as on international stages and concert tours around the world.
Collaborations with renowned conductors and soloists contribute to its high artistic quality, and the orchestra is widely recognized both in Croatia and abroad.
