The 15th Balkans International Wine Competition will be held in Hvar, Croatia, from 27–29 May 2026, celebrating 2,400 years of wine tradition in a UNESCO-listed landscape.

Hvar is one of Europe’s oldest wine-growing regions, with a viticultural tradition spanning more than 2,400 years. From the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain to a vibrant contemporary wine scene, Hvar represents a unique blend of history, craftsmanship, and innovation.

By choosing Hvar as the host destination, the Balkans International Wine Competition celebrates the deep connection between wine, culture, and people. The 2026 edition marks a new chapter for the competition, set in an authentic Mediterranean environment renowned for excellence in wine production.
