Klapa Galešnik brings the authentic sound of Dalmatia to Hvar

As part of the “Ura s klapon” program, on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 7:15 PM, Veli đardin in the town of Hvar will host a special performance by Klapa Galešnik, renowned for preserving traditional Dalmatian klapa singing and delivering rich, emotional interpretations of the island’s musical heritage.

The “Ura s klapon” program will take place every Wednesday from May to October, offering a continuous series of evenings dedicated to klapa music and Dalmatian tradition. This week, the program opens with a performance by Klapa Galešnik.

Visitors can expect an evening filled with harmonious a cappella singing, traditional melodies, and an authentic Mediterranean ambiance. Klapa singing, inscribed in 2012 on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list, represents one of the most important elements of Dalmatian cultural identity.
