An hour with klapa in Veli đardin | An evening of Dalmatian a cappella singing
Klapa Bodulke brings the authentic sound of Dalmatia to Hvar
As part of the “Ura s klapon” programme, on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, at 8:00 PM, Veli đardin in the town of Hvar will host a performance by Klapa Bodulke, a female vocal ensemble dedicated to preserving the rich tradition of Dalmatian klapa singing through expressive a cappella performances.
The “Ura s klapon” programme takes place every Wednesday from May to October, offering visitors a series of evenings celebrating Dalmatian musical heritage. Each week features a different klapa, creating a unique opportunity to experience one of Croatia’s most treasured traditions.
Recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, klapa singing is one of the most distinctive symbols of Dalmatia. Performed without instrumental accompaniment, its rich harmonies and emotional interpretations reflect the history, identity and spirit of the Adriatic coast.
Whether you are discovering klapa music for the first time or returning to enjoy its timeless beauty, Ura s klapon offers an unforgettable summer evening in the heart of Hvar.
Join us and experience the authentic sounds of Dalmatia under the trees of Veli đardin.
